Manuscripts
A few formatting guidelines must be followed when submitting a manuscript to the journal.
First, the document should be double-spaced with one-inch margins and 12pt font. The right-hand
side should not be justified. The editors may adjust the style to maintain uniformity and ensure
compliance with the journal's guidelines.
*Please note that non-compliant manuscripts will not be reviewed.
The paper should be divided into the following sections:
Abstract:
The manuscript should be divided into sections. The first section should be an abstract of a
maximum of 250 words, structured into sub-sections for background, methods, results, and
conclusion. Up to six keywords should also be included, and the word count for the abstract should be provided. Short articles, letters to the editor, commentaries, and reviews are exempt from this format.
Text:
The cover page should include the article title and the corresponding author's details (affiliation,
full postal address, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address). The full names, affiliations and contact details of the co-authors should also be clearly indicated. These details should only appear on the cover page, not any other page in the manuscript.
The subsequent pages should be ordered as follows: abstract, keywords, main text,
acknowledgment (on a separate page), references, appendix, figure captions, tables and figures.
Tables and figures should not be placed in the main text. The full word count should include all
text, including those within tables, figures, references, etc. All pages must be numbered in the
bottom right-hand corner. The main text should be arranged in the following order: Introduction,
Methodology, Results and Discussion, with each section starting on a new page.
Ethical considerations:
In the methods section, when reporting studies on human beings, indicate whether the procedures followed were in accordance with the ethical standards of the responsible committee on human experimentation (institutional or regional) and with the Helsinki Declaration of 1975, which was revised in 2003 (available at https://www.wma.net/policies-post/wma-declaration-of-helsinki-ethical-principles-for-medical-research-involving-human-subjects/). For prospective studies involving human participants, authors are expected to mention approval of (regional/ national/institutional or independent) Ethics Committee or Review Board and obtain informed consent from adult participants. Also, assent must be obtained for children participating in trials. The age beyond which assent would be required could vary per regional and/ or national guidelines.
It is crucial to use de-identification techniques to ensure the confidentiality of subjects, particularly
when including illustrative material. When conducting animal experiments, specify whether the guidelines of the institution, national research council, or any national law on laboratory animal
care and use were adhered to.
The authors must supply evidence of approval by a local Ethics Committee (for both human and
animal studies) on demand. Animal experimental procedures should be as humane as possible, and the details of anaesthetics and analgesics used should be clearly stated. The ethical standards of experiments must conform with the guidelines provided by the CPCSEA and the World Medical
Association Declaration of Helsinki on Ethical Principles for Medical Research Involving Humans
for studies involving experimental animals and human beings, respectively.
* Note: The journal will not consider any ethically unacceptable paper.
All articles dealing with original human or animal data must include a statement on ethics approval within the Methods section indicating the name of the ethics committee responsible and the protocol number that was attributed by this ethics committee.
References:
Please use the Vancouver referencing style, which involves numbering references in the order they appear in the text. After a full stop, insert the numbers above the line each time a reference is cited (e.g., as noted in similar studies. 1, 2). At the end of the article, type the numbered references double-spaced and include all authors' names and initials. The referencing format should adhere to the guidelines published by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) in the British Medical Journal, 1998, volume 296, pages 401 - 405.

Policy on authorship criteria:
Only individuals who made significant contributions to the writing of the manuscript should be
listed as authors. In addition, all authors listed in the manuscript should have contributed
significantly to the conceptualization, design, collection, collation or analysis and interpretation of
the data. All authors should have been involved in writing the manuscript at the draft and revision
stage. Also, they must have read and approved the final version. Other individuals (s) involved in the research should be listed in the acknowledgment section. Any change in authorship (including
author order) after the initial manuscript submission must be approved in writing by all authors.

Conflict of interest:
Authors should declare any conflict of interest.
Contributions to joint publication:
A statement on the contribution of individual authors to joint publication should be declared in this section.
Tables and Illustrations:
Please ensure that all tables and figures are on separate sheets of paper and are clearly labelled.
Tables should be consecutively numbered using Arabic numerals and have a suitable caption.
Please exclude vertical and horizontal internal lines. Tables should complement, not duplicate,
results already presented in the manuscript. Footnotes should be typed below the table and referred to using superscript lowercase letters. All illustrations should be provided in camera-ready form and suitable for reproduction, which may include reduction without retouching. Photographs, charts, and diagrams should be referred to as "figures" and numbered consecutively in the order in which they are referred. Please indicate the appropriate places in the text where the tables and figures should be inserted.
Peer review process:
All manuscripts submitted to the Journal are reviewed by at least two independent experts in that
field. In addition to the above peer review, a statistician will review manuscripts with a significant statistical component. The reviewers' comments will be communicated to the authors, even if the
paper is rejected. All efforts will be made to ensure the review process is as short as possible.
